Programs & Projects
OCCED/Nepal formulates various plans and projects as per its objectives for the welfare of the people and the society. Some of the projects are completed and handed over to the local community. Some others are in process and some are planned to launch in near future.
Summary of these are as follows.
1. OCCED Children Homes
a OCCED Children Homes Naxal Kathmandu Nepal
The OCCED Homes are established and developed to accommodate the children in a family environment with necessary protection and provision for their harmonious development. The homes are well managed to give better care for the children with respect to their health, education and entertainment and social responsibilities. Aayas (attendants) and nurses attend 24 hour to take care of the children with respect to their health, education and entertainment. Doctor is appointed for the regular health check up of the children. Adequate physical facilities are maintained for the physical and mental development of the children. Separate buildings are arranged for boys and girls to protect their fundamental right. The home is managed with play room, reading room, dinning room, play ground etc. A toddler class is also set for the little babies of the home.

2 Community development
| a |
Drinking water project:: OCCED / Nepal in association with LDSC (Latter Day Saint Charity ) and OCCED Youth club accomplished drinking water project for Shanti Niketan School and New Rising School of Rayale, Kavre District.
Likewise, a drinking water project set up at a cost of Rs.600,000 at Kusha Devi Kavre Is also completed. With the completion of these projects about 1000 inhabitants of that areas are benefited.
. Likewise, a project on awareness development on safe drinking water, sanitation & hygiene was also performed at Atariya Dhangadhi of far western region of Nepal. |

Class rooms construction: OCCED/Nepal in association with LDSC and OCCED Youth club, Rayale accomplished the construction of school building with six class rooms for Shanti Niketan Higher Secondary School of Rayale, Kavre District. A library and computer laboratory are also set up in the school at a cost of Rs. 1,200,000 for the better education of the school children. |

Health camps: Health camps and eye camps and cataract surgery are conducted regularly free of cost by OCCED/Nepal at Bhimdhunga, Duwakot, Nalinchowk, Dharke and many other village areas of the country. Such camps are conducted toll now at Buddhabare Jhapa, Irrautar Illam, Itahari Sunsari, Nala Ghimire Gaon Kavre, Rayale Kavre, Duwakot Bhaktapur, BhimDhunga Kathmandu, Dharke Dhading amd many other place of the country. |

Environment conservation: OCCED/Nepal is educating and persuading the school student members of OCCED Eco clubs for environment conservation by planting trees in the area of their surroundings. They are oriented with the message Stop deforestation, start tree plantation and encouraged them to deliver this message among the village folk. Such activities are performed till now at Mukti Chowk Birtamod, Itahari Sundari, Nijgadha Bara and many other place. |

Educational materials distribution: OCCED/Nepal has till now supported many schools with educational materials like computers, reading tables, benches, books and other materials required for the students. |

Rehabilitation program: OCCED/Nepal has conducted rehabilitation of the land slide victims of Rayale VDC repairing their home, toilets, irrigation system etc. The project was supported by LDSC. |

School building: OCCED / Nepal has started the construction of community school building at Itahari, the eastern part of Nepal. The building is under construction on the land donated by the local inhabitant Mrs. Julmi Devi Tharuni and purchased land of OCCED/Nepal at a cost of Rs. 700,000. |

Children HOME building: OCCED/Nepal has planned to have its own building for Children HOME at Kathmandu in order to accommodate their children. It has developed its concept of location, size and structure of the building and seeking support of the donors to launch ahead this project for the betterment of the children. Till now Rs 2,500,000 is collected.

Families for children: OCCED / Nepal has so far settled 115 destitute children in a genuine family by way of legal adoption. Among them, 5 are adopted by the Nepali family and rests are by the families from abroad. OCCED/Nepal is very much conscious on monitoring them for not being deviate from their commitment towards child right. The children so adopted are very happy and living in a family environment. |
3 Projects In process are

A drinking water project for 1000 inhabitants of Rayale VDC with an approximately estimated budget of Nr. 3,000,000 is prepared and is in process of finding donor to lunch it as early as possible for the welfare of the local inhabitants. |

Likewise a drinking water project for 1500 inhabitants of Pokhara with an approximately estimated budget of Nr. 4,000,000is prepared and in process of finding donor to lunch it as early as possible. |

A animal farming project in a “ PASSING ON THE GIFT “ program is in process of lunching for the welfare of the rural communities of Dhangadhi. |
4 Country and Inter - country adoption
OCCED/Nepal has philosophy to search parent for the destitute children. Only when the biological parent is presumed to be dead it will try to find some one to adopt, primarily from the country if not available then only from abroad. The children after being adopted OCCED/Nepal monitors them in a regular interval of time so that the child will be take care by the adopted parent as per their legal commitment.
5 Scholarship for school children
OCCED/Nepal has provided scholarship to more than 150 students of different schools of Nepal. The students are mostly from rural area and not be able to continue their education after primary level. This program will remain continue to support poor students who could not go to school or could not continue their school due to the financial reason. To reduce student drop out number is the main objective of this program.
6 National and International volunteers’ placement
OCCED/Nepal is working as facilitators on placement of the national as well as international volunteers in the different sectors of Nepal. Necessary information on social, cultural and historical background of the place where they have to start work is provided by the organization to the interested volunteers. They usually provide service in the area of education, health, hygiene and sanitation to the students and local folks.
7 Child Development through Women Empowerment
OCCED/Nepal in association of OCCED Youth club Itahari a training program of three month duration for local women on cutting and sewing clothes is conducted at Itahari with an aim to provide support to the children through their mother and the women members of their family.
8 OCCED International Family Forum ( OIFF )
OIFF is set up as a subsidiary wing of OCCED Nepal to provide information on various social activities of the organization to the adoptive families. Till now 65 families have enrolled their presence is showing keen interest on the activities of the OCCED Nepal. A positive response is receiving from the adoptive families on this program.
9 Have A Nice day ( HAND ) Sharing one day expense program
This is a program designed to pass on the best wishes of small children residing in the home of OCCED Nepal. Every morning these children pray for world peace and express best wishes of their well wishers. Let us share with their feelings and expression oozed out from core of their innocent heart. Our humble request to share Rs. 3500 (US $70, Euro 50), one day expenditure of HOME children. So far 50 individuals have joined this program of supporting the HOME children.
